  1. Enjoy reading your reviews. We will be in London in the Fall and would like a recommendation for a "proper English" high tea. We will probably also go to Fortnum/Mason Diamond Jubilee Room as it seems to be the "gold standard" for teas.

Thanks and keep up the good reviews!

    1. Hi Annette,

Don't know if you've already been in London, but if not, the Original Maids of Honour at Kew is probably the closest to a old style English tea room. Unfortunately London tends to be full of trendy places rather than quaint ones.

      Hope you enjoy your visit!

  2. Hi there,

Am loving your blog and have recently been working my way through the reviews. If only I had the money to visit Fortnum and Mason for afternoon tea! I recently visited the Luton Hoo hotel in Luton for afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed it. Regular refills of tea and coffee, a variety of sandwiches and cakes and two scones each (one plain and one fruit), all served on a three tier cake stand. Also, after reading your review, I have booked for me and my friend to have afternoon tea at the Washington Mayfair Hotel and will judge for myself just how good it is. I'm rather excited!

Anyhow, if you do any more reviews I will be straight there to read them. Any possibility of reviewing some cheaper afternoon teas?

    Thanks
    Ella
